Spanish Navigation License

Licencia de Navegación (Titulín)

The navigation license, commonly known as “titulín,” can be obtained after completing a brief training course of just 6 hours (2 hours of theory and 4 hours of navigation), without the need for exams.

This license authorizes the operation of recreational boats with a maximum length of 6 meters. It allows for coastal navigation up to a maximum distance of 2 miles from the coast, only during daylight hours.

This license has no power limits for engines. Additionally, according to the provisions of the recent Royal Decree 238/2019, those who obtain the Navigation License will be able to operate jet skis without power restrictions.
